Details of Costly Gifted Necklace

DEAR MISS MANNERS: Unexpectedly, a year ago, my father-in-law gifted me a necklace. He had given one major piece of jewelry to his wife, who had died some years back, and some of the other pieces of jewelry were also given to other members of the family.

The costly gifted necklace is not enjoyable for me to wear. It gets twisted every time, and I have to fix it every time before wearing it.

At the same time, my sister-in-law has occasionally mentioned that she is not happy about the diamond she received. So I asked myself whether I should re-gift this costly necklace to her or not. It is worth about 39000.

Gentle Reader: Miss Manners, hope that by 39000 you mean rupees or pesos. If money is unimportant to you, it is suggested to re-gift it to your sister-in-law. She would be in debt forever.
